Welcome to the Good Light Network

The Good Light Network helps faith-driven people and groups across Michigan. Here you can find each other, support each other, and grow together. Our heart is captured in two words: Shine Together.

On the network you can:

• Discover Christian-owned and values-driven businesses.
• Find churches and ministries near you.
• Browse and share community events.
• Get to know our collaborators.
• Explore the Leadership Library of guides, audio, and tools.
• Take a free leadership assessment for yourself or your organization.

Most of the network is free and open to everyone — no account required. The sections below walk you through each part.

Getting Around

The menu at the top of every page is your map. From there you can reach the Business Directory, Churches, Events, Collaborators, the Leadership Library, and the Assessment. On a phone, tap the menu icon in the top corner to see the same links.

Wherever you see a search box or filters, use them to narrow long lists by name, category, or city — it’s the fastest way to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Finding Businesses

Best for: anyone who wants to support and do business with values-driven companies.

Open Business Directory from the menu. Browse the listings, or use the search box and category filters to focus on a particular type of business or location. Click any listing to see its full details — what they do, where they are, and how to reach them.

Churches & Ministries

Best for: anyone looking for a church home, a ministry to serve with, or a place to worship while traveling.

Open Churches to browse congregations and ministries in the network. Use the search and filters to find ones near you, then click a listing for details and contact information.

Events — and Submitting Your Own

Best for: everyone who wants to attend gatherings — and organizers who want to share theirs.

Open Events to see what’s coming up, grouped by month. Each event shows the date, time, location, and who’s hosting.

To submit your own event:

1. On the Events page, fill in the “Submit an Event” form.
2. Add a title, a start date and time, and any other details you’d like to share.
3. Submit it. Your event is sent to our team for a quick review before it appears publicly.

A note on times: pick the event’s time zone and enter the start time. We show each event in its own time zone, so everyone sees the right time.

Collaborators

Best for: anyone who wants to see the organizations and collaborators that help make the network possible.

Open Collaborators to explore the ministries, businesses, and organizations connected with the network across Michigan.

The Leadership Library

Best for: leaders, learners, and anyone who wants to grow.

Open Leadership Library to browse guides, audio, video, and tools. Use the filters to sort by category, type, or access level. Each resource shows how you can access it:

• Free — open to everyone, no sign-up needed.
• Email — just share your email address to unlock it.
• Members — sign in with a free account to view.
• Premium — special resources noted on the item itself.

Leadership Assessments

Best for: individuals and organizations who want an honest snapshot of where they stand.

Open Assessment and choose the one that fits you:

• Individual Assessment — a personal leadership reflection.
• Business Organization — for companies and teams.
• Service / Social Organization — for ministries and nonprofits.

Answer the questions at your own pace to see your results. It’s a great starting point for growth and conversation.

The Weekly Email

Best for: anyone who wants the highlights delivered to their inbox.

On the home page, look for “Get Our Weekly Email” and enter your email address to stay in the loop on new businesses, events, and resources. You can do this without creating an account.

Creating an Account

Best for: people who want to unlock member-only resources.

You don’t need an account to browse the network. If you’d like to access member-only items in the Leadership Library, you can create a free account:

1. Go to Sign Up.
2. Enter your name, email, and a password (at least 6 characters).
3. Sign in any time from the Login page.

Getting Your Business or Church Listed

Best for: business owners, pastors, and ministry leaders who want to join the directory.

Business and church listings are added by our team to keep the directory accurate and trustworthy. If you’d like to be included, reach out to the Good Light Network and our team will help you get set up. You’re welcome to start by submitting your events right away — see the Events section above.
